Political correctness, in modern usage, is the attempt to use language, policies, or measures that are intended to avoid offense or disadvantage to cultural, political, or religious groups. However, it creates the condition to downplay crimes against humanity, by not calling something what it really is. Therefore, political correctness is a form of censorship and in some instances, can be used in propaganda.

TerrorismEdit

The Trump administration has conveyed that the “very dishonest press” doesn’t want to report on terrorism. They assert that the news media, including cable news networks are purposely playing down the issue. The previous administration, US news outlets, and some countries (now France) are weary to mix the words "Islam" and "terrorism" in the same sentence. Political correctness allows a purpetraitor to announce jihad with his or her crime because they are only saying "God is great", while they stab, main, and kill their victims. "God is great".

SocialismEdit

In the early-to-mid 20th century, the phrase "politically correct" was associated with the dogmatic application of Stalinist doctrine, debated between Communist Party members and American Socialists. This usage referred to the Communist party line, which provided "correct" positions on various political matters.[1]
