The Mysterious Man was an unknown individual who is said to have been at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Supposedly as the founding fathers were about to give up on the idea of signing the Declaration due to fear of death when a mysterious man stood up and gave a speech which inspired the founding fathers to sign the Declaration.

After giving his speech and the founding fathers signing the Declaration, the mysterious man suddenly disappeared. There are several theories about this mysterious man including: that he was a Freemason, that he was the mysterious St. Germain, and that he was Francis Bacon.
